ASTRO Systems, Inc. is a full service engineering and consulting company providing a broad range of services related to the telecommunications and information technology sectors, to both domestic and international clients.  For over twenty-five years, ASTRO has endeavored to provide a combination of engineering, managerial, and operational pool of expertise dedicated to building an organization capable of supporting a wide variety of services and products to these industries.  In addition, members of the ASTRO professional staff have also been actively engaged in network solutions and specialized applications for the business, government, and scientific communities.

Specific areas of expertise include system integration, feasibility studies, engineering support, equipment furnishing and installations, testing and commissioning, and more recently, consulting and technical assistance to foreign governments and overseas clients.  ASTRO is not affiliated with any equipment manufacturer or supply source, and consequently, is completely independent and free to select or recommend solutions solely on the basis of its technical merits and onward cost effectiveness.

Prior to forming ASTRO Systems, the founders and management personnel of the company were either principals or senior directors of major multi-national corporations with prominent positions in the telecommunications and electronic data processing fields. Their continued association is based on a history of efficient, professional collaboration on a large number of successful programs over the past three decades.

Historically, engineering, deployment, and operation of satellite systems has been one of the primary fields in which ASTRO and its personnel have been involved. This extensive experience has included C-Band and Ku-Band satellite systems for commercial, military and government agencies in the United States, as well as for international clients.  In this regard, ASTRO personnel have been involved in the design, installation, and the maintenance and operation of systems ranging from one-meter to 30-meter diameter antennas, and have included solid-state and high power tube amplifiers.

ASTRO Systems has also been directly involved in the design, implementation, maintenance and operation of analog and digital microwave radio networks in the United States and in a number of international locations. These systems have involved simple and multiple T1/E1, and T3/E3 channel capacities, and have included video, data, and telephony applications.  Other expert capabilities include the engineering and deployment of digital radio systems to interconnect specialized security cameras with a centralized control facility.

Another area of expertise is the design, installation, operation and maintenance of complete data networks including LAN, WAN, and server farms.  This includes the design and implementation of Voice Over IP solutions using a proprietary system.  LAN and WAN have traditionally been configured with UTP and fiber optic cabling, but are now increasingly supported with WiFi, WiMax as well as other wireless technologies.  Server farms are typically deployed with emergency power (UPS and generators), air conditioning, and fire suppression.  ASTRO network maintenance capabilities also include help desk and network administration
